The use of RGB channel split has already been discussed in our group as a post-production special effect which we would definitely be interested in using in our music video, specifically, on the action for when the drummer hits the snare at the opening to our song. However, after showing this video to Dan and Will, we all discovered we liked the use of the RGB split in this music video, specifically at the beginning. The main aspect we liked was the fact that the artist (main character) was not affected by the split, but everything else around him was. We felt this was successful in creating a depth of field that positions the character away from everything else. If we were to do this in our piece it would obey to the themes of isolation. Therefore, we are interested in applying this use of an RGB split in our music video.
